The operation involved an oversized cargo flight from SKBQ (Barranquilla, Colombia) to SKAP (Villavicencio, Colombia), requiring precise coordination between ground handling and cargo handling teams to ensure a safe and efficient offload.

Upon arrival, the Antonov aircraft was guided to the designated loading and unloading area. Prior to the approach of the crane, our team ensured all ground safety checks and positioning procedures were completed. Once clearance was obtained, the aircraft was securely parked, and the offloading process began.

Using a high-capacity crane, the first oversized piece was carefully removed from the aircraft’s lower deck platform. After the rails were dismantled, the team proceeded to unload the remaining cargo components and disassemble the platform. The operation demanded a high level of synchronization between the ramp, cargo, and crane operators — precision and communication were key.
