Military Aircraft Handling: Two Key Operations in Asunción with Consorcio Aviation Support

Arrival of the USAF C-5M Super Galaxy with Firefighting Equipment Donation

For the second time in less than a year, Paraguay received a visit from the C-5M Super Galaxy, one of the largest aircraft in the world, operated by the United States Air Force (USAF).

This time, the aircraft transported a highly valuable donation of firefighting equipment, including a firefighting truck (carro hidrante) and specialized gear intended to strengthen Paraguay’s emergency response capabilities.

Due to the size and operational complexity of the Super Galaxy, detailed coordination was essential. Our team managed the entire process for this operation:

  1. Overflight and landing permits

  2. Ground handling services tailored to oversized cargo

  3. Ramp space coordination, cargo unloading logistics, and security procedures

Reception of the Four A-29 Super Tucano Aircraft for the Paraguayan Air Force

Just days after the Super Galaxy’s landing, Asunción’s Silvio Pettirossi International Airport hosted another milestone operation: the arrival of four A-29 Super Tucano aircraft, acquired by the Paraguayan Air Force from Brazil.

These aircraft are known for their versatility in tactical missions and advanced pilot training. They are scheduled to become operational by October 2025.
